03 - 1 teaspoon powder from onions
04 - 1 teaspoon paprika with smoky flavor
05 - Pepper and salt as needed
06 - 2 tablespoons oil from olives

→ For the Rice

07 - 1 cup white rice, long-grain type
08 - 2 cups broth made from chicken
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ For the Creamy Sauce

10 - 2 tablespoons butter without salt
11 - 2 tablespoons flour for all uses
12 - 1 1/2 cups milk that's whole
13 - 1/2 cup broth from chicken
14 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic in powder form
15 - 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
16 - 1/2 cup cheese that's shredded cheddar
17 - 1/2 cup cheese from Parmesan, grated
18 - Chopped fresh parsley for topping

# Step-by-Step Directions:

01 - Mix the chicken with paprika, powders from garlic and onion, plus some salt and pepper. Warm up the olive oil in your big pan on medium-high. Cook the chicken till it's golden, about 4-5 minutes each side. Take it out and put it aside for now.
02 - Get your pot going with the chicken broth and salt until it bubbles. Toss in your rice, turn down the heat, cover it up, and let it cook for 15-18 minutes until it's soft and dry. Stir it with a fork and keep it warm.
03 - In the same pan you cooked chicken in, melt your butter on medium. Stir in the flour and cook it briefly till it looks slightly golden. Slowly pour in your milk and broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Add the garlic powder, thyme, and both cheeses. Let it thicken for 3-4 minutes until everything's smooth.
04 - Put the chicken back in with all that creamy goodness, making sure to coat each piece. Cover it up and let it bubble gently for 10 minutes until the chicken's completely done and super tender.
05 - Scoop some rice onto each plate, place the saucy chicken on top, and sprinkle with fresh parsley. It's best when you eat it right away.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Don't rush the browning step - it really makes the chicken taste better and keeps the juices in. Keep your stove at a good medium-high temp.
02 - You can make this meal earlier in the day and warm it up later on the stove or in your microwave.
03 - Want something not so heavy? Try using half-and-half instead of whole milk.
04 - Chicken thighs work great too - they'll give you even juicier results than breasts.
